Collision Damage Waiver |
Collision Damage Waiver - 5000 (CDW-5000) is not insurance. The rental location requires CDW-5000 Protection to rent a vehicle, unless you purchase CDW-TP or APP (which includes CDW-TP), present valid proof of collision and theft protection in Jamaica, or provide a depsoit or credit card authorization at the time of rental in the amount of $2,500 USD plus the cost of the rental.
If you purchase CDW-5000, the rental company contractually waives your responsibility for the cost of damage to the vehicle up to $5,000 USD, after the deductible, during the rental period unless you invalidate the coverage as provided in the rental agreement. CDW-5000 does not cover damage to tires. A deductible of $650 USD applies.
Please be aware that most auto insurance polices from outside Jamaica do not provide coverage in Jamaica. Liability insurance purchased on third party travel websites is not an acceptable form of coverage. Employees of the local rental car company are not qualififed to evaluate the adequacy of the customer's personal auto insurance coverage. You should contact your insurance company prior to arrival with any questions regarding their specific coverage.
If you provide acceptable proof of current coverage in Jamaica and decline CDW-5000, CDW-TP and the Alamo Package Protection (APP) you will be responsible for the full value of damage to or loss of the vehicle.

Collision Damage Waiver |
Collision Damage Waiver - Theft Protection (CDW-TP) is not insurance. The rental location requires. Third Party Liability |
Third Party Liability (TPL) is included in the Time and Mileage rate. Subject to the actions listed on the rental agreement that invalidate TPL, up to the policy limits, and prvides you with at least the minimum financial responsibility limits as outlined in the applicable motor vehicle financial responsibility laws. TPL has limits of $10,000,000 JMD for Death or bodily injury to any one person/event; $10,000,000 JMD to Third Party Property; $1,000,000 JMD Passenger Liability per person/event.

Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) |
Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) The purchase of Personal Accident Insurance is optional and not required to rent a vehicle.
Personal Accident Insurance covers ambulance service, doctors, hospitalization and nurses for the driver and passenger in the vehicle, with a maximum limit of $25,000 USD. Coverage also includes accidental death and dismemberment coverage of $5,000 USD and personal effects up to $1,000 USD.

Roadside Assistance Protection (RAP) |
Roadside Assistance Protection (RAP) Covers 24 hour service for jump start, lockout service, fuel delivery, monor repairs and tyre change.
RAP includes flat tyre service (if no inflated spare is available, vehicle will be towed, tyre repair cost still applies, unless tyre protection purchased), and lockout service (if keys are locked inside the vehicle). Jumpstarts and fuel delivery service for up to 5 gallons (or equivalent liters) of fuel is also provided (fuel at charge to customer).

Renter Requirement |
Must meet the location's minimum age requirements.
Present a valid driver's license from country of origin.
Present a major credit card in the renter's name at the time of rental to cover rental charges and deposit of $400 USD (reduced to $150 if Deductible Protection or APP purchased )
International drivers must provide a valid license from their country of residence. In addition to the drivers license, if the characters are not in English or Latin Characters, an International drivers permit is recommended. If the drivers license is in characters other than Latin, an International permit is required or a Notarized English Translation is accepted.

Payment Policy |
A passport in addition to a credit card, with available credit and in the renter's name, must be presented at the time of rental. The signature on the back of the card must match the name imprinted on the front. In addition, if the renter has an online transaction, the number and name printed on the card presented by the renter must match the name and number stored for the online transaction.
Credit Cards honored: American Express®, MasterCard®, VISA®, Discover®
The authorization placed on the renter's credit card will be the deductible amount of Damage Waiver and Damage Waiver with Theft plus the cost of the rental. This authorization amount may be used toward damages of vehicles or late charges. See the policies for CDW5000 and CDW-TP for deductible amounts.
If the renter has insurance coverage through a credit card, they will have an authorization of $350.00 USD minimum, plus the cost of the rental.
If the renter does not choose to purchase one of the protection packages or does not have insurance coverage through a credit card, they will be required to provide a deposit of $2500 USD.
Debit/check cards are considered to be any non-credit card American Express®, MasterCard®, VISA®, Discover® logo. Debit/Check cards are not accepted at this location.
Cash is not accepted at this location.

Refueling Policy |
As a customer, you have a choice as to how you would like to pay for fuel.
Option 1 - Prepay Fuel
This option allows the renter to pay for the full tank of gas at the time of rental and return the tank empty. No refunds will be issued for unused gas. Pre-paid gas is available at a reduced market price.
Option 2 - We Refill
This option allows the renter to pay the location at the end of the rental for gas used but not replaced. Price per gallon will be higher than local fuel prices.
Option 3 - You Refill
This option allows the renter to return the vehicle with a full tank of gas to avoid extra fuel charges.

Roadside Assistance |
Available 24 hours. Customer must call the rental office during operating hours. In case of accident, customer must complete a police report at time of accident and must report accident to the Alamo location.
