Important Policy Information:

Prepaid Reservations (Vouchered or E-Vouchered)

Additional Driver Option is available at an additional charge. RATE PLAN does NO include Additional Driver.

Minimum age is 21 and maximum age is 75 years. Drivers between the ages of 21 and 24 years will incur an additional fee, estimated at $3.00/day.

If renter’s Driver’s License is not in English or Latin characters, an international driver’s permit or notarized translation is required along with a Credit Card and Passport from Country of origin. Local Residents may not rent with the rental plans offered in this platform. Credit Cards accepted: American Express®, VISA®, Mastercard® - Minimum approval on a credit card varies by car reserved – it ranges between $1,995 Economy to Compact, $2280 for Midsize to Full-Size, $3,420 for Premium and Above. This will cover the deductible, traffic violations, etc.

Debit Cards or Cash are NOT accepted at time of rental. Accepted only for payment at the end of the rental.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW-TP) and Personal Liability Insurance (TLI) are included in all our rate plans

If not included in the voucher, renters will be offered OPTIONAL items at time of rental. Please review final Rental Agreement charges prior to signing. All Signed Charges are FINAL.

Contact you booking agent to modify or cancel your reservations. There are NO REFUNDS FOR PARTIALLY USED VOUCHERS. Administrative Fees may apply for qualified refunds.

One way drop-off charges, other taxes and fees may apply at the counter at the time of rental.

Terms and Conditions – Argentina

Infant Seat, Child Safety Seat and Booster Seat – Alamo offers child restraint systems that conform to government standards. Infant Seats are rear-facing seats recommended for infants 5 – 20 lbs. Alamo also offers Child Seats and Booster Seat for older children.

GPS Navigation DeviceAlamo offers GPS navigation devices available at time of rental.

Snow Tires – Snow tires are available to customers only at the locations in El Calafate, Ushuaia, and Bariloche seasonal from May 15 – August 31.

Collision Damage Waiver – Theft Protection (CDW-TP)

Collision Damage Waiver and Theft Protection (CDW-TP) is not insurance. The purchase of CDW-TP is optional and required in order to rent a vehicle unless it is included in the rate plan; with CDW-TP we agree, subject to the actions listed on the rental agreement that invalidate CDW, to contractually waive your responsibility for all or part of the cost of damage to, loss or theft of the vehicle.

In Argentina the CDW-TP includes the Personal Liability Insurance (PLI)

The CDW-TP has a deductible ranging from U$1995-$5500, depending on the car class:

U$1995 – Economy to Compact

U$2280 – Midsize to Full-size

U$3420 – Premium to Full0size Van

In the event of a rollover, deductible applies as follows.

U$3000 – Economy to Compact

U$4300 – Midsize to Full-size

U$5500 – Premium to Full-size Van

Deductible Protection (DP)

Reduces renter’s Collision Damage Waiver-Theft Protection (CDW-TP) deductible to U$0

Deductible DOES NOT cover CDW-TP in the event of a rollover/turnover nor is it available on SUV’s, Pick Up Trucks, or Vans.

Third Party Liability (PLI) Included in CDW

PLI provides you with minimum financial responsibility limits as outlined in the applicable motor vehicle financial responsibility laws of the country where the vehicle is operated.

PLI provides liability coverage up $3,000,000 ARP (which is approximately $180,0000 USD and amount fluctuates based on exchange rate) for personal injury for all accident related expenses not pertaining to the rental vehicle or driver of rental vehicle.

Additional Driver

· All additional drivers must meet all rental requirements.

· Additional drivers must appear at the rental counter with the primary renter.

· Additional drivers must sign the rental agreement.

· An additional daily fee may apply for any Additional Drivers.

The additional driver can only be added to the contract at the pickup location.

Cross Border Policy

According to the Federal Administration of Public Revenue, a government agency of Argentina, there has been an amendment to the Argentina cross border policy which allows temporary admission of leased vehicles from Argentina to Chile within the framework of the binational technical meetings, it was agreed to adopt a single form for the output and temporary admission of rented vehicles, and the recording of such events in a centralized database and information exchange via "Internet" between the two customs, due to this change, please see below for the following process:

Unrestricted driving within Argentina. customer can also cross border into the bordering state of Chile, Uruguay and Brazil. Due to customs regulations, vehicles are not allowed to cross into Paraguay or Bolivia.    Chile: If customer wishes to cross border into Chile, a permit can which is valid into Chile only be issued in the amount of $80 plus tax and airport fee. Customer must request cross border pass at the time of reservation, and must present a passport at the time of arrival. The cross-border pass can only be issued by non-airport locations and if customer is renting at the airport, they must go to the nearest non-airport location to complete paperwork. The non-airport rental station will submit the request through an online process which can take up to 48 hours to receive the permit. The formal request form cannot be submitted before the customer signs the contract and customer must be present before transaction begins. From Region 1, to include cities Bariloche, Buenos Aires, Cordoba, Iguazu, Jujuy, Mar del Plata, Mendoza, Neuquen, Posadas, Puerto Iguazu, San Juan, San Luis, Tucuman, Rosario, and Salta, the customer can take any vehicle, however in Region 2, to include cities El Calafate, Trelew, Puerto Madryn, Ushuaia, the customer can take any vehicle except Economy and Compact vehicles across the border into Chile.

Uruguay and Brazil: If customer wishes to cross border into Uruguay and Brazil, a permit can be issued in the amount of $80 plus tax and airport fee. This permit is separate from the permit for Chile and it can also take up to 48 hours to receive the permit.

Required documents: copy of renter's passport and driver's license.

No one way rentals are allowed between countries.

Roadside Assistance may be provided at an additional charge when traveling outside of Argentina.

Off-road driving is not allowed.

One-Way Rentals

All one-way rentals must be booked in advance and are subject to availability. One-way charges apply and are payable at time of rental. One-way charges cannot be prepaid.

There is a minimum length of rental of 4 days for one ways picking up in one city and dropping off in another city. For reservations booked within the same city there is no fees.

Renter Requirement

Must meet the location's minimum age requirements.

Present a valid driver's license.

International drivers must provide a valid license from their country of residence. In addition to the driver’s license, if the characters are not in English or Latin characters, an international drivers permit is recommended. If the driver’s license is in characters other than Latin, an International permit is required, or a Notarized English Translation is accepted.

Present a major credit card in renter's name at the time of rental

This location accepts notarized Chinese Driver’s License.

Payment Policy

A passport in addition to a credit card, with available credit and in the renter's name, must be presented. The signature on the back must match the name imprinted on the card. In addition, if the renter has an online transaction, the number and name printed on the card presented by renter must match the name and number stored for the online transaction.

Credit Cards Honored: American Express®, MasterCard®, VISA®

An authorization on the credit card will be taken on all rentals and may range from $1995 - $3420, depending on car class. This authorization amount may be used toward damages of vehicles, late charges or citations incurred during rental of vehicle.

Debit/Check cards are only accepted at this location as a form of final payment. Debit/check cards are considered to be any non-credit card with American Express®, MasterCard®, VISA®, Diners Club®, Discover® logo.

Cash is only accepted at this location as a form of final payment.

Refueling Policy

As a customer, you have a choice as to how you would like to pay for fuel.

Option 1- We Refill

This option allows the renter to pay Alamo at the end of the rental for gas used but not replaced. Price per gallon will be higher than local fuel prices. A 40% surcharge will apply.

Option 2- You Refill

This option allows the renter to return the vehicle with a full tank of gas to avoid extra fuel charges.
